Sir Hugo was born at 2:55 a.m. after a difficult labor. His mother, AA Creek Black Diamond, was in labor but didn't dilate. This, once again, underscored the importance of being present during the birth.
Thirty-six hours after birth, we took another blood sample to check his antibodies. They were perfectly fine. Everything went well, but it was good that we caught him quickly.
He weighed 7.6 kg at birth and was 17.7" tall. I think he will grow up around 30" tall. With his wide, long blaze and four white socks, he will be a magnificent sight.
Now the little colt can grow up. Who knows, maybe one day he'll be able to compete in a pair with his half-sister. Time will tell.
